All About Us

Mission and Approach

Welcome to Corfe Mullen United Juniors FC

We are a friendly, local grassroots youth football club based in the heart of Corfe Mullen, Dorset. Since 2003, we have been dedicated to providing a safe, inclusive, and exciting space for young people to play football. Today, we are proud to be a thriving community of over 200 players.

Our players describe our club as fun, welcoming, and friendly. We firmly believe that teamwork and friendship come first, ensuring that every single child feels supported and that respect underpins everything we do. Our goal is to make football enjoyable, challenging in all the right ways, and a highlight of each player’s week.

We don't measure our success by league titles. Instead, we focus on fostering a lifelong love for the sport, creating lasting friendships, and developing children into well-rounded individuals both on and off the pitch. We know that not every child is destined for the Premier League, but we believe the lessons learned through grassroots football (such as camaraderie, resilience, and community) are worth far more than fame and fortune. When children enjoy their football, winning games comes naturally!

Our Ethos

Community

Fun

Our aim is to build a lasting community both on and off the pitch. Where every player, coach and helper feels like a team and a family. Serving the community so that everyone has a place or a part to play.

We prioritise fun and enjoyment in everything we do, ensuring football remains a source of happiness, connection, and enjoyment for players. We encourage our teammates and leave with a smile on our face.

Inclusive

We embrace openness and opportunity, ensuring everyone feels included, respected, and heard, regardless of background, identity, or skill level. Football is for everyone and anyone who wants to play!

Our Values in Action: The CORFE Way

While our players live by the short version of the CORFE way, these values guide how we run our club at every level. Here is what they mean to our coaches, parents, and community:

Commitment

We believe that grassroots football is about being part of a team and learning the value of reliability. For us, commitment means showing up for our teammates, giving our absolute best effort, and supporting the club's positive spirit through thick and thin; win, lose, or draw.

Opportunity

Football is a game for everyone, and our doors are open to all. We ensure that every player, regardless of their background, identity, or current skill level, has the opportunity to actively participate, learn, develop, and contribute meaningfully to their team.

Respect

Respect is the bedrock of our club and underpins everything we do. We hold ourselves to high standards, teaching our players to show genuine respect for the game, our opponents, the referees, and, most importantly, each other at all times, both on and off the pitch.

Fun

If it isn’t fun, it isn’t youth sport. We intentionally prioritise joy and enjoyment in every training session and match. By creating a pressure-free environment, we give children the freedom to connect, laugh, build lifelong friendships, and celebrate the simple pleasure of playing football.

Effort

We don't demand perfection, but we always champion hard work. We deeply value maximum effort and personal improvement, actively recognising and celebrating that a child trying their personal best is vastly more important than the final result on the scoreboard.
